You know something needs to shift. The answer isn’t obvious, and the organisation is starting to feel stuck.

For three months, you’ll work with me on the most critical issues you’re dealing with as a leader. We’ll get clear on what needs your attention most, figure out how to handle it, and build momentum towards where you want your organisation to go.

October intake now open

Up to 10 one-to-one places are available.

Applications close Friday 9 October.

You might be dealing with...

A strategy question that doesn’t have an obvious answer. Should we grow? Where should we focus? What should this organisation look like over the next five years?

An organisation that has grown quickly and is now feeling the strain. It’s harder to find the right people, managers are stretched, teams aren’t working as well as they should, and things that used to be simple are getting harder.

A board, team or stakeholder you need to influence. You know where you want to go, but you’re not yet sure how to bring other people with you.

A good idea that you want to get off the ground, but you’re not clear on the pathway from idea to action.

An opportunity in the environment that you can see, but you haven’t yet worked out how your organisation should respond to it.

Or a difficult issue that keeps coming back onto your desk because nobody has quite worked out what to do with it.

These are the kinds of things we can work on together.

What working together looks like

We’ll start by getting clear on what’s really going on, identifying the issues that matter most and building a practical game plan for the next three months.

We’ll also look for an early win so you can start creating momentum straight away.

From there, our weekly sessions are about moving the plan forward. We’ll look at what’s working, what’s getting in the way, the decisions you need to make and what needs to happen next.

Every engagement will look a little different because the work is built around you, your organisation and the issues you’re dealing with.

Between sessions, you’ll have email access to me. And when it’s useful, I might send you a tool, framework, article or other resource that can help with whatever we’re working through.

The engagement includes:

  • One one-to-one session each week, up to 60 minutes

  • Email access between sessions

  • Tools, frameworks and resources where they’re useful

  • Three months of work focused on the issues that matter most to you and your organisation

Who this is for

This is for CEOs and senior executives working in nonprofits and human services who are responsible for significant organisational decisions and have enough influence to do something about them.

It’s particularly suited to leaders dealing with questions around strategy, growth, organisational performance, people, influence, implementation or major opportunities and challenges facing their organisation.

This probably isn’t the right offer if you’re looking for someone to write the report or do the work for you.

It’s also not designed for people looking for life coaching or career planning, people who don’t have enough influence over the issue to act on it, or leaders working primarily in the private or commercial sector.

Why work with me?

I’ve spent the past 20 years in leadership roles across human services and government, advising boards, executives, government and community-controlled organisations, including as Senior Adviser to the Queensland Treasurer.

Across those roles, I’ve often been the person people come to when the problem is difficult, strategic or unclear.

My strength is being able to see both the bigger picture and the practical steps needed to move things forward.

I also have postgraduate qualifications in Training and Development and Human Resource Development.

More than anything, I genuinely enjoy helping people think. I light up when I see the moment something falls into place for someone and they become more confident about what they need to do next.

What I want you to get from the three months

By the end of the engagement, I want you to be clearer about the issues that matter most, have a practical game plan for dealing with them, and have built real momentum.

You should feel like progress has been made, that it is continuing to be made, and that you’re putting your energy into the things that are actually within your control and can make a real difference to your organisation.

Investment

$2,000 per month for three months, paid monthly in advance.

If, after the first month, either of us thinks the engagement isn’t working as it should, we can end it there with no further commitment.

October intake

I’m opening up to 10 one-to-one places for October.

Applications close Friday 9 October.

The application is deliberately short. I’ll ask for:

  • Your name

  • Organisation

  • Role

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • How you heard about me

  • What are the main reasons you’re reaching out right now?

  • If working together went really well, what would you hope was different three months from now?

I’ll review your application and let you know if I think the engagement is a good fit.

If we already know each other and the fit is clear, I may offer you a place directly.

If we haven’t worked together before, or I’m not sure whether I’m the right person to help, I may invite you to a short 15-minute conversation first.
